BUFFALO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

May 27 - 30, 2011

This event will be held over the Memorial Day holiday (May 27-30) in the Buffalo , NY area. It is a great experience, which combines staying with an American family in their home, sightseeing at the spectacular Niagara Falls , and the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith through a guest speaker and workshops on various topics. This conference is sponsored by International Students, Inc., a Christian organization which welcomes the participation of all international students/scholars regardless of their beliefs.

     Our group from Penn State will leave from the lobby of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Friday, May 27 at 1:00 pm. (Please have lunch before then.) We will leave Buffalo on Monday morning (the actual Memorial Day holiday) at 9:00 am, and we should arrive back in State College by 2:00 pm.

     To register, please print off a copy of the Conference brochure with registration form (or contact Bill Saxton to obtain a copy of the Conference brochure). Then you will need to complete the Conference Registration Form, sign it, and return it to me, with a check for $30, payable to “International Students, Inc.”, to cover the Conference Fee. (Do NOT send the form to the Buffalo ISI address.) You will also need to pay an additional $45, in cash or in a separate check payable to “Bill Saxton” for your share of the transportation costs. So the total cost is only $75 for this wonderful weekend experience!

 If you come to my office (201A Eisenhower Chapel) to register and I am not at my office, you can place the registration form and payment in an envelope, and slide the envelope under my locked office door. I will then contact you to confirm that I received your payment. This trip is limited to the first 28 people who register.
 
     What to bring: A bed, blankets, pillow, and towel will all be provided for you, so you only need to bring clothes and personal items such as a toothbrush, camera, and shampoo.
