IMPS Spring Break “Grand Tour of Florida!”

March 7-15, 2008

Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Sea World or Universal Studios, the beaches of the Florida Keys, an air boat ride in the Everglades, a boat cruise on the inter-coastal waterway near Miami, the wildlife of Corkscrew Swamp and Sanibel Island, hospitality from an American family, and more! Over Spring Break in March, 2008, International Ministries at Penn State will partner with Above and Beyond Ministries to sponsor a wonderful opportunity for Penn State international students, scholars, and families. Above and Beyond is a Christian organization, based in Boston, which specializes in providing long-distance bus trips for international students. We will be traveling on one of their special "sleeper" busses. This bus will enable us to sit along the sides and at tables while traveling short distances in Florida during the day. Then, while traveling longer distances at night (such as the distance from here to Florida and back), the bus is transformed into upper and lower platforms for sleeping. This allows everyone to have a regular night's sleep in their sleeping bag while the drivers take turns driving us through the night. (We stop periodically while on the bus for gasoline and to use the restrooms.)
